Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and ACE Advisory, the firm that operates Paperless at getpaperless.ai. By creating an account or using Paperless, you accept them. If you do not agree with them, please do not use Paperless. We have kept them short and in plain language on purpose.

What Paperless is

Paperless is an AI-powered research tool. It helps you find and understand Bangladesh’s tax and regulatory framework, currently the Income Tax Act and related instruments, by asking questions in plain language and by uploading documents for analysis.

Paperless is not professional advice

Paperless is a research assistant, not an adviser. It is not a law firm or a chartered accountancy firm, it does not prepare or file tax returns, and its answers are information, not professional advice. Using Paperless does not make ACE Advisory your adviser, lawyer or accountant.

In Bangladesh, only registered Income Tax Practitioners, Chartered Accountants, Cost and Management Accountants, and Advocates may prepare income tax returns for a fee. Paperless does not replace them and is not a substitute for engaging one. Before you act on any answer, check it against the cited source, and speak to a qualified professional about your specific situation.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • Keep your login details private. Activity under your account is your responsibility.
  • Give accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, look fraudulent, or put the security of the service at risk.

Paperless is in beta

  • Coverage is currently limited to the Income Tax Act and related circulars since 2023. It may not reflect the complete or most current state of the law.
  • Beta access is free for now. We may introduce paid plans, usage limits or eligibility changes later, with reasonable notice.
  • Accuracy, availability and completeness are still being improved.
  • We may change, pause or stop any part of the beta at any time.

AI answers can be wrong

Paperless uses artificial intelligence. AI-generated answers can be incomplete, out of date or incorrect, and a citation can occasionally point to the wrong place. That is why every answer carries a citation: so you can check it. You are responsible for verifying an answer before relying on it. To the fullest extent the law allows, ACE Advisory is not liable for decisions made on the basis of an unverified answer.

What you must not do

  • Use Paperless for anything unlawful, including breaking the PDPA.
  • Try to copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the platform, its data or its models.
  • Upload documents you have no right to share, including documents with other people’s personal data that you have no lawful basis to share.
  • Use the service to create content meant to mislead a regulatory authority.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service.

Your documents stay yours

You own the documents and content you upload. You give ACE Advisory a limited licence to process them, only to provide the service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for anything beyond serving you without your separate consent.

Our property

Paperless itself, including its technology, its regulatory corpus, its design and its branding, belongs to ACE Advisory and is protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you the right to use the service, nothing more.

Paid plans, later

If Paperless introduces paid plans, we will show you the pricing terms and ask you to accept them before anything is charged.

No warranties

Paperless is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent Bangladeshi law allows.

Limits on our responsibility

To the fullest extent the law allows, ACE Advisory is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business, arising from your use of Paperless, including reliance on AI-generated answers. Our total liability under these terms is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or BDT 5,000, whichever is greater.

Your responsibility to us

If your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or content you upload causes claims or costs against ACE Advisory, you agree to cover those costs, including reasonable legal fees.

Ending things

You can stop using Paperless and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms, for security reasons, or if we discontinue the beta or the service. The sections on AI answers, our property, warranties, limits on our responsibility, and your responsibility to us survive after your account ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Any dispute will be handled exclusively by the courts of Dhaka.

Changes to these terms

If we make an important change, we will tell you through the platform or by email. Continuing to use Paperless after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
